This sweet little flower is known as forget-me-not.
An old fashioned favorite and one that I rarely see anymore.
I love how they look in this little vintage pitcher I found on Etsy awhile back.
And...
In the finally finished library!
On a tiny table between two slipcovered wing chairs! The tiny ottoman was once my hubby's grandmothers and we have left "as is" ....for now :)
I recently found some great vintage plates that remind me of forget-me-nots.
I brought one into the library to share.
Kind of similar, don't you think?
Most days, they are in the plate rack in the kitchen.
Just a tiny bit of color on the otherwise cream, white and grey palette.
While I was in Texas this last trip, we went shopping and I found many wonderful treasures I will share with you soon.
Well, since it's raining outside I need to go work on the bathroom reno project.
I will share our progress soon, but now...
Have a wonderful day!
Donna, What a wonderful job you and your husband have done with your home. I know you are the decorator, it's all so beautiful. I do like that sweet plate with the flowers. Blessings to you, xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet little flower. Your library looks great....loving the plantation shutters on the bottom half of the windows.
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautful library! We have just finished ours too and find ourselves sitting in it daily.
ReplyDeleteLovely vignettes. For-get-me-nots were my Grandmother's favorite flowers. I adore your calm style. Creative Reno Bliss...
ReplyDeleteHow very sweet! I just told my daughter that the next time I go to her house I am digging up some of her forget-me-nots to plant here. I just love them-they are sweet and old fashioned. Your library looks wonderful! I could enjoy myself there! xo Diana
ReplyDeleteYour home is stunning Donna!!
ReplyDeleteBlessings~
Such a cozy, comfortable look to your home. Ahhhhh...relax.
ReplyDeleteI love the little side table! Your vignette is perfect .. the flowers and the vase are so pretty. xxL
ReplyDeleteI so need a library space that's in its quiet as your reflects here. It's so calming and I could see myself sitting, book in hand and gazing off from time to time taking in all it's calm.
ReplyDeleteXoxo
Just beautiful.

I love your library but especially the ceiling!!...i would like to do that on my ceiling in my family room. Wondering did your husband use full sheets of beadboard paneling or are those individual slats?
ReplyDeletePrecious little Forget Me Nots. I've tried to grow them with no luck. They look so pretty in the little pitcher. I didn't know they had stems that long! Love the little plates too. They definitely match the flowers. Those two slipcovered wing chairs are great. All the colors in your home are so soft and appealing. Sorry it's taken me so long to see this post, i'm waaay behind on everyone...
