Two Weeks...and counting

Hello my friends!
It has been an unbelievably busy time since I last posted.
So many projects...so little time!

We are now just two weeks away from the French Market Event in Tipton!
I thought I would quickly show you a few things I have been working on...

To begin with, I usually try to make a few things from some of the reclaimed materials that we have gathered or had leftover from other projects.
This settee is just such a piece. It was constructed from an old footboard, some great table legs, and two full rolls of indigo jute webbing.

I then decided that I needed to make the cushion from ticking stripe and then do a handsewn mattress welting around the front and sides!
Wow! A lot of work but I really love how it turned out!

I now need to start the fun pillows I wanted to fill it with!
Next, I made 60 water bottle carriers!

Last year I made 24 and they sold out on the first day! So this year...I made 60...hopefully there will be some to put in my etsy store after the event!
Here are the ones I made last year on April and Amanda!

Then, I decided to make a few tote bags...this one is made from a Navy and Cream Sweatshirt material...I am keeping one...it's really a great size.

While I was busy in my studio...Hubby the carpenter made some pedestals from the remaining boards from our island project!

I have just finished putting a metal on the tops of three of them...two to go!
There is still so many things that I have been making but I will have to show you in my next post...I really need to head out and work on my new side walls for the tent.
We just set it up in the yard to air it out and to work on the new valances.

A few more tidbits of information on the event itself...
Admission will be $1.00 per person at the gate, 14 and under are free.
The gate opens at 9 am both Friday and Saturday. The event takes place rain or shine...so pray for sunshine!

I will be back soon with more details and to show you some of the smocks I just started to sew this morning from linen!
Have a great week!
