Meet Lucy!

Hello Everyone!

I am so sorry for not posting in a while...I have been busy getting ready for the event in
17 days! Oh my goodness!

I must admit, it's sneaking up on me a bit and I feel like I have no time for anything.
We did spend Father's day at my son's house and met our new grandbaby dog...Lucy!

Isn't she a doll!

They had just picked her up on Sunday afternoon...just in time for Father's day! Tommy's first!

I had worked that morning on a few projects out in the studio and thought you might like to see them!

The first is a slipcovered tuffet.

I wanted to do something in linen ruffles but wanted it to be easy to take care of too!
So I went with a slipcover!

The second tuffet I made from the document print fabric I used upstairs in our Recovery room!
you might remember the post I did on this tiny room upstairs back in March!
If not...here is the link:http://www.dreyne.com/2011/03/recovery-room.html

I really like this one and if it doesn't sell...May just keep it for myself!

They are both going to the event in a few weeks!

Well, I must dash off so much still to do and so very little time left in which to do it!
Here's one more picture of Lucy!

Have a wonderful rest of the week!

  1. Adore the tuffets!
And you aren't that far from Michigan...I contemplated coming to your sale but with our son coming and my Mother's surgery, it won't be in the cards this time.
    Your blog is inspiring!
    Thanks for sharing!

  3. Lucy is a sweetie-pie! I'm sure she will be spoiled rotten.

I'm betting that both those lovely tuffets will be snatched up right away--so don't get too attached.

    Enjoy Horton's!!!!

  7. I love both of those tuffets. I'm sure they will both sell. But oh...that new puppy, Lucy is so pretty. I'd love to get my hands on her and give her a big smooch. I bet she smells so good. Nothing better than new puppy smell. Love your little manequin too. I have to say that burlap bag of yours is just about the best one I've seen anywhere on the internet. Love it so much. I think I really may need to buy myself one.

  18. Hi Donna~ What a little cutie!! Her face is just the sweetest! And I do love your slipcovers that you made for the tuffets. That is something I wish I could do...make slipcovers. I could use a few for some of my chairs at the lake house.
You have a great week too!

  21. You can't see my face, but it's wearing the "AWWW" mouth!
Love the tuffets. I have one stuck back somewhere I need to redo and I may use your ideas for it. Thanks!

P.S. It's hard getting ready for a big reveal AND keeping up with the dailies, isn't it?

  22. Lucy is so cute! I'd love to cuddle up to her! Although Belle (my toy poodle) may get jealous. My brother got a full lab puppy and when I was holding her Sunday at our Family Father's Day event, Belle got pretty jealous! She's too spoiled!
My mom calles my and my brothers her "grand-doggies" too! :)
And darling stools too! I love ruffles and linen!
