I did however spend a few minutes this morning out in the garden just before the black clouds rolled in!
This is the potager from the porch of the cottage.
Everything is starting to come up and it so much fun to go out each morning to see what's new!
This is the view coming down the path from the house....
To the cottage and Tinker!
As you can see the sunshines through the windows of Tinker every morning!
(You can also see...I have a mess right now!)
But it's just the matter of a day without rain
And all will be as it should be!
I did get to pick my very first flowers this morning....
White Peonies!
I put them in a little vintage milk pitcher so that I could take them upstairs....
to the bathroom dresser!
They just seem to say "Good Morning"
I am off the prime and paint the millwork in the NEW HALL!
I will return soon to show you what hubby accomplished while I was away!
I am also linking up with the always Fabulous Kathleen at Faded Charm
for her #101 White Wednesday Post!
Until next time....
Even with all the rain...still beautiful. Love your sink area....and I so miss peonies. They do not grow in Phoenix!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving that bathroom vanity! Love the sink on top! I can't wait to see the whole house finished! You will have to throw a open house party!

Are you really cutting peonies already Donna? Mine are a month away from blooming here. (insert frowny face here) I LOVE your garden and the beautiful landscape around you. There's nothing like country living! I saw the silos in the background and smiled.
ReplyDeleteYour bathroom is so lovely my friend!
sending hugs...
Everything looks wonderful in your yard. The weather here looks like rain for the rest of the week:-( It's so hard to get outside and get anything done.
ReplyDeleteI love your peonies and they look perfect on your vanity. Mine are still just tiny buds.
I hope you had a nice visit with Rebecca last week.
xoxo

ReplyDeleteDonna I loved looking at thispost! I want to know a couple of things.!. How did you make the iron trellis archway? Can you share? And tell me about your sink and vanity, the paint color, and the type of vessel you have. I love how it all looks. I think the stone path is enchanting and I loved the adirondack chairs~!

With a house and garden like that, you must be the calmest person in the world. You have as a dreamlike place . Just heavenly!

ReplyDeleteHi
ReplyDeleteI left a comment but don't see it here... blogger is a bugger lately. I got an email from Dorthe saying she couldn't leave a comment on my post too.
My phone is dead... it hasn't stopped raining since I got here! But talked to Keith and he said it was in the 40s yesterday, yuk.
I am sewing aprons today for FC, Jody has a party to go to but i opted out and I am working. Yesterday we shopped and ran errands. Still haven't gotten a tent but will tomorrow.
Will keep you posted, hopefully this comment will go through
Blessings today

ReplyDeleteHi Donna...I just love your bathroom vanity! How stylish. The room doesn't even look like a bathroom.

Have a great weekend!
Karen
Oh... love that bathroom! I love the style and colors and flowers...
ReplyDeleteso lovely.
Enjoy your weekend.
Hi there~ Just found your beautiful bog over at Debra's ~ love your inspirations! So lovely! Following along~ stop by and say hello sometime!
ReplyDeleteDonna, I love your blog! Thank you so much for visiting and opting to follow. We are mid-western neighbors, I see. I am planning on driving up to Horton's sale next month, so I will look for you among all those pretties that will be for sale. Can't wait to go. Your white peonies are lovely. I sure wish I was a gardener. I have to enjoy everyone else's flowers because I tend to kill all of the things I plant. LOL

I am installing the same sink on a cherry wood countertop. Do you mind advising if you had issues with it wobbling and if you fixed that with caulking when you installed? I am ready to hook everything up but there is a slight wobble and now I am worried.
ReplyDeleteLove this room of yours! I keep staring at all the beautiful details.
