Sometimes it seems to slow to barely a crawl .
Then there is time that moves so quickly that days seem to completely disappear!
Lately, I have experienced the latter... rapidly fleeting time.
This year Easter fell on my Birthday!
For the first time in my life ...
I shared my birthday with this sacred holiday!
I have been busy working on the store's
French Flea Market Event...
(July 8 and 9...and of course, I will get you more information soon)
We finished our plans for the Christmas season at the store.
(yes! We always have to get our orders in this early!)
The renovation of our home (we are currently in the hall)...
And the refitting of our cottage for use as my studio.
Or...so we thought!
It seems the Lord had other plans for the little cottage.
Right after the French Flea Market event in July...
My mom will be moving into the cottage and I will be finding a new studio space!
Not as I had thought...but just as God had planned.
I know He has something else in mind for me as far as a work space...I just don't know what yet!
One thing that I have learned.
His time...not mine.
Change is all around me.
What I have learned though is...
Change is good.
It keeps things fresh and new!
Life is always filled with change...
And timing is everything!
I now know why I needed to sort through my things and rid myself of the excess.
I also understand why we decided to move from the cottage...
Back home to the even smaller upstairs!
It was time....
For yet another change.
Have a wonderful rest of week!
A belated happy birthday to you Donna! And your outlook on life is good. Your beautiful little cottage is meant for your mom right now. And you're right.. only He knows why.
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you~

You are so wise to understand there really is a master plan that we do not know. Your space will come. Time is relative...moving so slowly and all the way to speeding too fast past. Blessings to you...
ReplyDeletehappy Easter birthday... Sounds like a lot to of changes, for sure, glad you have the Lord to walk you through them and I love the "studio" pic.

Happy easter birthday darling........lovely week !! ...xxx...Ria....
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Donna! You have a wonderful attitude, "His time...not mine." How wonderful your Mother will be close by.
ReplyDeleteTake care,
Mimi
What a delightful cottage and home you and the Lord has prepared for your mom. And what a generous heart you have to share a space you were longing to use. Your kindness touches my heart and brings tears to my eyes.

Wow!! You have a lot going on!! How blessed you have a space for your mother!!
ReplyDeleteHappy belated birthday! Beautiful pictures in your post as always! While the cottage did seem like a perfect place for your studio , it also seems like a wonderful option for your mother. So wise to just trust in God's plan.
ReplyDeleteHappy belated birthday!!! Hope it was as special as the day was.
ReplyDeleteI really believe things happen for a reason...a reason only God knows. Sounds like you're on a fun new adventure!
Take care and enjoy all the change!
A belated Happy Birthday to you!!!!
ReplyDeleteI must confess I am not the best at accepting change gracefully. Even so, I know it is not my will, but His.
I know you'll find just the right place for your studio. Until then, enjoy the time you'll have with your mom living close by.
Happy Birthday a little late! How exciting to move into the cottage! YES! It's funny how our plans change when it is not "our" decision but HIS.
ReplyDeleteI can not wait to see all of the wonderful photo's as you move forward!
Have a pretty day!
Kristin
Belated Happy Birthday Donna!! I hope you had a glorious day!!
ReplyDeleteLove your little nest in your pear tree. I will have to check out my trees. The birdies around here usually make their nests in my hanging ferns.
I want so bad to come to your french flea and am trying REALLY HARD to make it possible this year.
Hugs~
I hear you on the days flying by too. They just go at lightening speed nowdays.
How wonderful that you have the cottage for your mom. I know she is blessed by it.
ReplyDeleteFirstly a belated birthday.
ReplyDeleteYour new space will be a perfect place for your Mum. All things in life happen for a reason... it is how we deal and learn from them that makes us a better person.

I loved looking closely at your flea market set up. It is so great!! I also adored that toile curtained bench area in your studio, and I hope mom loves it too.
ReplyDeleteOh sweet girl, where ever you make your studio it will be fabulous!

Everything you create is beautiful, your new studio will be too. Love your booth at the French Market, I am participating in a show next week, but my booth won't look as beautiful as yours.
ReplyDeleteHave a fantastic day!

Happy Easter Birthday! I know you are a bit disappointed about your studio, but what a blessing you have a little guest house for your Mom. You know your new studio will be all that and a bag of chips don't you? LOL! He has big plans for you, Donna.:)
ReplyDeleteHappy Belated Birthday! Change is good...

Hey Sweet One
ReplyDeleteThe Lord is Good... you are right where you are supposed to be and there isn't a better place in the world. The Lord will turn this into a work that He has for you, he is preparing you. He will also bless you with a fabulous studio. This will be exciting but not necessarily easy.
Blessings today dear one, you are inspiring.
