Love ya...Rebecca

This is going to be a very short post. It seems I once again, have the flu!

I feel lousy!
But....
I wanted to show you something that my dearest friend sent me last week!
Rebecca!
I think we are sisters separated at birth!
Our lives are so...parallel it's a little spooky!
But last week she sent me this gorgeous vintage bedspread!
She tells me she believes it to have been made in the 20's.
It's made of dotted swiss  (my favorite!) but unlike any I have ever seen. It's almost like gauze!
The inserts are hand crocheted...roses!
And in the center...
A diamond in the center with my initial J!

It's a twin...well...a little smaller than a twin but I am going to use it to create an amazing window treatment in my  new closet!
It really looks great with my rose wallpaper!
Isn't it fab?
But not as fabulous as Rebecca!

Tomorrow I go to see my Doctor about getting something to help me get through it! Ugh!
She is going to be mad because the last time I had this  (a very short time ago) she told me to take it easy...slow down!
She doesn't know me well.
That doesn't work for me.
My hubby says he is getting a tranquilizer gun and dose me if  I don't slow down!

I am taking a few days off from my de-clutter...and I can't wait to share my progress!
After....I feel better!

Until next time!

  3. That bedspread is heavenly! What a lovely gift from a friend. Please listen to your body and take the time to mend. Get some books and some chicken bouillon and dream up some new ideas while you rest.

  4. OMG! It is perfect! That Rebecca has got to be the most awesome girl in the world (and you too)! I can hardly wait to see what you do with it, and because I KNOW you so well...I'm sure you will have it done in no time, flu or not! I am so sorry to hear you have it again.

I so enjoyed your 'bumps in the road' post. I really identified with it. I laughed (and I'm sure it wasn't meant to be funny) about the puppet. You have no idea how much better it feels knowing that somebody else has these feeling about the unfinished...the put on hold...the just plain got away from me projects. I loved your sons response. That is exactly what my kids say to me. It's okay, no scars!
I would love to tell you to take it easy, but I already know you won't so I'm just going to send your husband money for the tranquilizer gun!
    sending big hugs from here...

  16. I was wondering how you were able to keep running! Take care of yourself.
The bedspread is beautiful. It'll make a lovely drape. I can't see what you do with it. I have a couple old crocheted bedspreads that I made into drapes. But first rest up.
