I decided to drink my coffee from Tinkers perch.
It was cooler than it had been but normal for this time of year
So I turned the heat up in Tinker House and climbed a ladder to the perch.
Have I mentioned that I am afraid of heights?
Well, I am !
Really, really!
So that is why I installed a galvanized bucket on a pulley!
I climb up and pull the bucket up behind me!
Ta-da!
One less thing to drag along!
I am so thankful that we completed Tinker before the major cool down!
I have had so much fun doing even the most mundane chores out here!
Even Fall yard cleanup has been somewhat enjoyable this season!
Up here...I can survey my garden (and the lower level of Tinker)...see things from another perspective...
And just take a moment for myself!
Like everyone else I know...that in itself is a luxury!
I have a very busy schedule this week but Tinker and I wanted to Thank you for all your sweet comments and encouragement to keep plugging along and get Tink finished!
So we (Tinker and I) are having a give-away!
This week....all you have to do is leave me a comment on this post and be a follower.
At the bottom of this page is my followers...please make sure you are down there. (we will after we draw!)
For a second entry if you do a post on Tinker House come back and let me know...you will get another chance at the prize!
What it is?
Well, I have been working on my Tinker House Collection for my etsy shops reopening next week...
It's one of our hanging galvanized buckets
But this bucket is burlap lined!
And filled with Some of my favorite Tinker things!
An Aqua leather bound journal. we use ours for garden thoughts!
My favorite chocolate...in an aqua bag!
And a surprise or two! but all are some of my faves!
Speaking of favorite things...
Have you stopped by Dee's adorable shop
Well... one of my favorite things that will be tucked into Tink's pail is from this darling shop!
Which one should I part with?
This little antique tin...
or this one?
I just can't decide so you get to choose!
I love them both!
So good luck and I will be back on Friday to draw the lucky winner.
And to share Chapter 2 of Christmas at Horton's!
I will have done another reset and I think you will like this one too!
So until next time...
I'm so glad I found your blog...& Horton's! Your Tinker retreat is unbelieveably beautiful!!! I don't do ladders anymore, but I'm afraid if I ever made it up in that perch, I would pull me up a pail of books & stay forever! I love it.
ReplyDeleteI don't do ladders anymore either. I am not afraid of heights, just can't get up there! Love the pulley of items..but then Tinker is adorable all the way around!
ReplyDeleteDonna, you have outdone yourself on this. A very special little place... Morning coffee/tea sounds delightful in here.
ReplyDeleteSweetie, the Tinker House gets more lovely every time I see it. What a lovely glow in that first photo. Makes my heart all warm and happy.
ReplyDeleteHow ingenious to rig a pully system for bringing up things to your cute little perch. I am a little afraid of heights too, but I would imagine it's worth it to just be up there in your own little world.
Yep, I'm a happy follower!
Tinker is precious!!!
ReplyDeleteI've dreamed of Tinker my whole life. How did you get him?
I think I'm a follower and will surely make a Tinker post very soon.

ReplyDeleteAbby:)
Hi Donna, found you at Alice's blog. What an adorable Tinker house, by heart is pounding from the sweetness of it. How lucky to have such a sweet refuge. I am very jealous. I used to climb up to the top shelf inside my grandmother's old house closets. Loved the height, solitude. Needed a pulley then!! Great idea. Enjoy your darling space, and the warmth it gives you. Riki
ReplyDeleteHi Donna! Found you on Alice's blog also. Down here in Texas you'd still need a fan, or maybe even an AC in the Tinker House, at least in the day light. What a lovely place to get away, or have your morning coffee! I can't wait to see your store.
