Another Snow Day and Blueberry Orange Coffee Cake

I awoke this morning to see that it had once again snowed here in Indiana!
As the morning grew steadily worse!

I don't know about you...but in these parts
That means playing hooky!
You stuff you wouldn't be doing ...
If the weather had not changed!

So instead of wading through  the snow to the cottage...I decided to cook in my new kitchen!
I couldn't think of anything better to do...can you?

So I gathered my goods and an old recipe. !

 A family favorite...
 Blueberry Orange Coffee Cake.

This is officially...

The first thing I have cooked in my newly completed kitchen!

So I wanted to make something that we love and I haven't made in a very long time.

While the snow was falling and the cake was baking...I took pictures of my tulips!

Then, while it was still hot from the oven...
I had a piece of this amazing coffee cake!

And thought I would share it with you!

From me to you my dear friends! Enjoy!

  1. Yum, indeed!!! I'm trying to behave after pigging out on our trip. But I'll make an exception for your yummy blueberry orange coffee cake ;) And your new kitchen is fabulous, Donna!!

  2. Donna, I meant to say how much I loved the white pitcher with the tulips. Seeing them next to those new faucets, perfect !! Yum coffee cake, one of my favorite things. Yours looks wonderful. I know you felt great baking in the new kitchen. You and your husband can be so proud. You are both hard workers and it shows.xoxo,Susie

  3. Is there any image in the world better that Tinker in the snow? (Besides by Loves and Grands) Move over Eiffel! (Did I just day that?) I am so glad that you are back Donna. I have missed you! I am definately going to try that recipe YUM!

  4. Well I have to say YOUR handling this endless cold and snow better than ME! Your photos are lovely and that cake looks scrumptious! Although I DID see a few brave Robins so hopefully Spring is around the corner.

  5. Delicious and thank you for sharing your recipe. Sending Sunshine Smiles...

  6. Cooking something yummy in your new kitchen has probably been on your wish list for a long time. Isn't it fun to finally be done and ready for an afternoon of baking?

  7. Gaaaahhhh! I missed you finishing your kitchen! I'm so behind on posts! It's drivin me nuts! I'm gonna have to go back and catch up! That blueberry coffee cake looks insanely divine. I want to reach through the computer screen and grab it and take a big bite!!!... I am sooo gonna have to make some, thanks for the recipe!
