Rainy Autumn Days

 So many leaves...so little time.

I had hoped to have all of my Fall cleanup done before I leave for Texas next week.

Rain the last few days has kept me from my task.

When I return, it will nearly be Thanksgiving. All of the leaves will have fallen from the trees and it will look so different!

For now, I admire the Fall color from my window...

Or from the car as we head into town...

Sometimes,  even by looking at the few leaves I've picked up lately from our yard!

Autumn is such a beautiful time of the year! I hope you get a chance to go "Leaf Peeping" as my husband likes to call it!

Have a blessed day!

  1. It is my favorite time of year, and my favorite moment in this season - a late November, afternoon when the light is so pale and weak it is getting dark at 4:00 - my husband shakes his head, incredulous that I am at my happiest when so many of our northern New England neighbors are getting gloomy.
Have a wonderful time in Texas - hope to see photos!

  2. Leaf Peeping is what Mr. C and I like to do each year. We get in our 1969 Rambler American and tour the beautiful Gold Rush area we live in. We finally have rain so the leaves are all over the ground...just like yours. Falling into Autumn Bliss with the beauty of Nature...
    Safe travels to Texas dear.

  3. I went leaf peeping last week through Brown County & it was amazingly beautiful! However, it is almost breathe taking right here on my own street. Getting ready to go clean out a few flower beds this afternoon as the sun has decided to shine.

Have a wonderful trip. I assume you are going for a wedding. We will expect a full report!

  6. Your garden is gorgeous, Donna!

The aspen trees here are now bare & Mother Nature has moved them to where she wants them, so all my leaf peeping is done via blogging. :)

Hope you have a wonderful trip!
    Hugs,
    Zuzu
