Weekends

I was once told...that weekends were for relaxing!
On occasion, I have actually given this a try! But not this weekend...
This weekend we will be working in the dining room...it's nearly complete,
With the exception of...

The fireplace insert. It will not be installed until Autumn now...the wrong one was ordered by the store and now we must wait...again.
I did manage to get the Mansard Mirror hung this past week and brought some Queen Anne's Lace in from the garden.

For the next few weeks... I will be in my studio as I prepare for the

4th Annual French Market and Artisan Fair
in Tipton

On Monday, I will start giving you a few more details on the event as well as introduce you to our fabulous Vendors!

Do you have plans for the weekend? Whatever they may be...Enjoy!

  5. One of the hardest things to do is to wait for something to finally come together - we still have quite a bit of finishing work to do in our tiny cottage, but so many other projects take precedence.
Can't wait to hear more about the French Market & Artisan Fair!
    Have a happy one, Donna!

  6. The good news is that you won't need the fireplace until Autumn {hopefully}, and in the meantime you get to play with mantel. It looks great - simplicity and elegant.

  7. The mirror is perfect over the mantle, Donna! You'll have to share with us what you hang on the other side of the pass-through / double sided fireplace. Love the height and softness of the Queen Anne's Lace. :-)
    Cheers,

My plans this weekend are to get all the garden beds mulched. I know I'm a little late, but we have had so much wind that it has been impossible to do.
I hope you have another great show at Tipton's!!!!

  11. The mantel looks wonderful and I love your mirror. With the to-do lists it's difficult to carve out time for R&R .. It's gardening season here in the pacific northwest, so I'll be getting my hands dirty :)
