simple joys

Hello My Friends!
I took a break from my current project and headed outside to clip a few blooms from my "Bridal Wreath "  Spirea Bush!
It's one of my favorites and always makes me smile when it comes into bloom. It's fragrance fills the kitchen today and smells faintly of honey!

So simple but still a favorite.

This week I am finalizing my vendor list for the upcoming French Market and sending out the packets to the chosen few!
I am always glad when I have reached this plateau...it gives me a chance to catch my breathe...
Work out in the garden for a bit...
And search out these simple things that bring me joy...

Even something as easy as clipping a few branches from a bush has a way of bringing a smile to my face!

Do you have a "go to" thing you do to make you smile? I hope you have a chance to do just that today!

Well, I  must get back to work...this afternoon I am working on some new slipcovers for the dining room chairs

Sew far sew good...(I couldn't resist the pun!)
Until next time...

  4. Lovely flowers. We used to have spiraea bushes at our old house that looked just like this. The scent was heavenly. I do miss them.

    Have a wonderful day!

  7. Donna, I love the look of the bridal veil in the blue/white pitcher. I can see why you cut those branches, that is a nice scent, isn't it. Have a pleasant day. Smiles, xo, Susie(She Junks)

  8. Gosh, i have the same bridal wreath bush blooming right now, and i haven't even taken the time to grab a few cuttings... Thank you for reminding me to stop, and do that!
It's always the simple things that are the best. Sometimes even just a few minutes in the garden can rejuvenate me... I love yours in the little white pitcher...
my main "go to" for comfort is usually music... but a fresh gardenia, or honeysuckle are a close second...
