Trip to Tot's

Each time Rebecca gets into her SUV...
I truly believe that Willie Nelson is crooning out "On the road again" somewhere in the background.

I am normally NOT part of her road trip crew but when she suggested we go to Kentucky to see our dear friend Theresa and her new store...I even volunteered to drive!

Theresa aka TOT lives about 3 and half hours from my home and so we headed south and like Thelma and Louise...of course there was a bit of road drama!
But Oh baby we had fun!
Theresa and her husband Craig just opened a brand new brick and mortar store in the cutest little town ever!
The little 2 block section of town is literally lined with shops!

But Theresa's  shop took my breathe away!

Isn't this adorable?

Here we all are...did ya notice I chopped my hair off? And look at Theresa!! I am loving her gorgeous long hair!

Once inside...I barely took pictures because I was so engrossed with every little detail! I am so into display...It was like being a kid in a candy store!

Serious Eye Candy!

Everywhere you looked amazing treasures!

Fabulous textures and her color palette...knocked my socks off!

Always the salesperson Rebecca was trying to sell me this alabaster lamp base...I loved it but have been afraid to buy anything small until we are a bit closer on the house! ( I have plastic bins full of things I haven't even seen in years!)

Besides...this will give me an excuse to go back! :)

After our shopping and sight seeing... we met up with one of Theresa's daughter's and her children for dinner at their favorite Mexican food restaurant.
All I can say is "Oh baby"
It was fabulous!
But not as fabulous as Theresa and Craig's home!!!
As most of you know who follow her blog...Theresa has been busy making some serious changes to their home and I couldn't wait to see them for my self!

This is where Theresa shines! She is a master at display!

I am so in love with her new color palette...It had me thinking...

Day dreaming...

Wondering if I should darken the walls in my own living room!

Rebecca caught me in Lala land! HAH!

Isn't this fabulous?

Every single thing spoke to me!

If you ever get a chance... ask Theresa about this head sculpture...it's mind blowing!

Her television is even white! Oh my goodness this is so cool!

Rebecca and I were trying to figure out how we could get a few things stuffed into my little car :)
I so love these old windows!
(Rebecca had her eyes on some chairs in Tot's bedroom!)
Rebecca did her first post on our trip and will do a second soon so go by and see what I was too busy gawking to take pictures of!

We had a wonderful time and are so grateful to Theresa and Craig for allowing us to be their house guests!

If you ever get a chance to visit Kentucky...ya'll really need to stop by and see this adorable little store! It's so worth the visit!

Isn't it nice when you are in the shower how quickly you can wash it when you cut it, and then style it? I am thinking of a hair cut too...glad to see you posted! Can't wait to see the progress on your projects.

  8. How fun to have a girlfriend road trip. Theresa's store is breathtaking and if I were closer to Kentucky I would definitely be going there. Her home is also lovely and very architectural with the pediments and window frames on the walls. You girls are a force of decor drama of the very best kind! Thank you for sharing these photos...

  10. Hi. Looks like a very fun trip! I just checked out Rebecca's blog and she showed us some lovely photos of your house too:) I was wondering if you could share with me how you got the corners of your zinc topped island to look so wonderful?! I have a countertop I want to cover with zinc and my husband wants to know how to finish the corners. Since yours looks so great and I am not finding any info online to help me out I thought maybe you could give me some tips.
    Thanks!

  12. Well...you certainly opened Pandora's box! I was hopping all over the place! First your fabulous post, then Rebecca's, then on to Tot's.

Tot's store! Where does she find all of the amazing pieces of architecture? UNBELIEVABLE!
...and the elephant on the globe!

Your place is looking amazing! Rebecca had some lovely photos of your "to die for" zinc and old front porch island! I can't wait to see more!

I took our tree down today. It was still fresh! Everything is down and packed with the exception of the dining room. I'll finish tomorrow.

I'm feeling the need for a D'Reyne candle. (hint...hint...LOL) You know that I will be raiding your Etsy shop once it's open again!

    Happy New, Year...dear Donna!
I am so glad that you are back!
