As Promised

It has been such a busy time for me lately.
But I did promise to tell you about my trip to Chicago...
Vintage Living
It's been 4 weeks ago now,
But on a cool Friday Morning...(2 days before Mother's Day)

I set out on my 3 hour tour...for Chicago.
The original reason for the journey was to pick up my youngest son from the Great Lakes Navel Station for his 1st weekend long liberty. Yay!
But along the way.. Just like our beloved Gilligan...I got sidetracked...but more on that later.
It turned into an awesome opportunity to meet new friends and get to know others better.
Just before I started blogging myself...
There were about 5 blogs that I lurked about quite often.
Rebecca's was one of them.
I just love the sound of her blog!

I love her work. She is a gifted artist who has found her calling.
Her shop is the reflection of her amazing talent.

Filled to the brim with incredible merchandise.
Most of which, Rebecca now fashions herself.
Amazing!

I must tell you that I have borrowed these images from Rebecca...
It just figures...
When I got there,
I was so overwhelmed by everything, And having so much fun visiting with her...
Well,
I didn't take a single photo!

But I did make sure I got her to sign my copy of Where Women Create!
Oh yeah!

Rebecca is as amazing as we all, already know her to be.
She is beautiful inside and out.
She's real, down to earth, very outspoken about her faith.
And a very talented lady!
(I might have already told you this!)
My time with Rebecca's was short, but we did have lunch just around the corner from her shop and I did get to spend time in her studio.
Talk about a dream come true!
If this is all I accomplished this day...It would have been enough.
But, before I left Indiana,
I stopped by Damask Designs.
I told you about Amber's Precious little boutique in my last post.
My 3 hour tour was a tad bit longer but oh so...worth it!
Amber's shoppe is like a little dollhouse!
She has filled it with carefully collected treasures that are each  little luxuries in there own right, but when combined with everything else...it's nothing short of fabulous!

I am thrilled to remind you...

She too will be joining us at the
French Flea Market
July 9th & 10th!

She and Rebecca are my very special guests but we all be joined by about 10 other  amazing vendors with a varied selection of merchandise that they all have gathered for the occasion!
It will be a tad bit hectic around here for awhile...
baking treats for the pâtisserie...getting the store ready for the event...
Making products for my own space at the Flea Market...And,
spending precious time with my son who deploys soon to Yemen...
(Please keep him in your prayers!)

 I will return though!
I have finished the guest room at my client's home and...
I did take pictures!
I will share them soon!

Have a wonderful rest of the week!

  8. OOOH Rebecca's shop looks fab! I had been to her shop in Geneva many times, before she moved it to Glen Ellyn. But didn't really meet her until a couple of months ago at the IL bloggers get together! She is so very sweet and talented! I am curious about the French Flea Market you mentioned...
